UAF’s book clubs invite instructors and staff to connect through reading and dialogue. The Faculty Accelerator supports book clubs by purchasing materials and sponsoring events. Read more about the clubs below and use the form at the bottom of this page to request copies of this semester’s books!

Indigenous Authors Book Club

The Indigenous Authors Book Club is hosted by TiaAnna Tidwell through UAF’s Alaska Native Studies and Rural Development via Zoom. Interested participants meet once every six weeks to discuss a variety of Indigenous authored books. All are welcome and encouraged to join this informal, open group. The Accelerator will purchase books for interested participants. For more information contact TiaAnna Tidwell at tmtidwell@alaska.edu.

Innovations in Learning Book Club

The Innovations in Learning Book Club is hosted by UAF eCampus instructional designers with a goal of sparking discussion around emerging ideas in teaching and learning. We welcome instructors, staff, and graduate students for monthly discussions on Slack (asynchronous) and Zoom.
